About Infrared Inspection
An Infrared inspection is the process of acquiring and analyzing thermal information from a non-contact thermal imaging device (infrared camera).
Despite what some people believe or may have seen on TV thermal imaging only detects heat emitted by objects it cannot see through walls. Thermal imaging can be used to help detect things such as; electrical hazards, insulation deficiencies, air infiltration, moisture as well as many other applications.
In order to properly perform an infrared inspection certain conditions must be present – ask your certified thermographer for more details.
